       HUNDRED NIGER -DELTA YOUTHS TO RECEIVE AGRIC TRAINNING IN ISREAL
       100 youths selected from the Niger Delta Area in Nigeria are to depart for Israel on training in  agriculture.
     The programme is part of  series of skill acquisition programmes being organised by the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.
     At a pre-departure briefing for the Youths, on Wednesday in Abuja, the Supervising Minister Arch. 
     Darius Ishaku, told the trainees that the Programme was one of the several initiatives being executed by the Ministry to address youth restiveness in the region.
     Ishaku said that the trainees were  selected from the  nine states in the Niger Delta.
     The Minister said the scheme was meant to encourage youths to engage in meaningful economic activities that would provide decent and sustainable sources of income and subsequently advance the overall socio- economic well being of the region.
     Ishaku further stated that the training would  hold at the ISAC Agriculture Centre Galilee, Israel.

     He urged the youths to make good use of the training opportunity to empower themselves and to contribute to  the development of the region and the country at large.
     He said at the end of the training programme, trainees will be evaluated based on individual performance.
      The Minister further advised the trainees  be good ambassadors of Nigeria.http://dailyindependentnig.com
