Lassa fever in Nasarawa State!

Lassa Fever has reportedly resurfaced in Nasarawa State, killing one person out of the 15 suspected cases receiving attention at the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi.

Director of Public Health of the State Ministry of Health, Doctor Ibrahim Adamu, confirmed this  over the weekend in Lafia, the state capital.

Adamu also said relatives of the deceased have all been tested and are under surveillance.

He  however reiterated the administration of the state government in containing the spread of the disease, stressing that this  has led to sensitisation campaigns in notable media houses for the residents of the state to take some precautionary steps.
