      CORN AND AFRICAN PEAR ...
          HMMN... OKA NA UBE!

...boiled corn fresh and nutritoius.

IT WAS A CHILLY RAINNY AFTERNOON, AFTER  TWO HOURS OF NON  - STOP RAINFALL, I  SAUNTERED INTO MY KITCHEN TO BOIL THESE FRESHLY HARVESTED MAIZE.

...Even former US President, George Bush loves this mouth organ...

CHECK OUT THE AROMA AROUND MY KITCHEN AFTER ABOUT 45 MINUTES.

.. boil fresh and enjoy these.

SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED I BOUGHT SOME FRESH UBE  AT THE POPULAR OYINGBO FOOD MARKET. I JUST WASHED THEM WITH WATER AND POUR THEM OVER THE BOILING CORN. TWO MINUTES WAS ENOUGH.

I DRAINED AND WENT TO WORK WITH THE MOUTH ORGAN....

... Ube is rich in fattty acid..

Ube,  orderwise known as AFRICAN PEAR  is very common in the eastern and southern Nigeria.

......any food market in Nigeria can make this available.
These pyramids of purple African wood pears must be roasted on hot coals or soaked in freshly boiled water to be eaten. When cooked, they taste like avocado, cut through with cream. Try roasting or boiling and eat alongside the fresh maize you have at home .......
